Vlad Stochita
Lead Coach/Trainer
Vlad Stochita is a former U Sports athlete who competed for three years at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in the team's achievements, helping them secure 2nd place in the OUA East and 1st place in the OUA Central during the regular season.
The 2022-23 season was particularly historic for the program, as the team finished as runners-up in the OUA playoffs and qualified for the U Sports National Championship tournament for only the second time in its history. Notably, their victory against the St. Francis Xavier X-Men marked the first-ever win for the team at the U Sports national championship. TMU ultimately secured fifth place in the country with back-to-back wins at nationals.
In addition to his playing career, Vlad has previously coached at Rustic Athletic Club, where he worked to develop young talent and share his passion for the sport. With his experience and dedication, Vlad Stochita continues to make a positive impact in the soccer community.
