Tomas Castaldo

Tomas Castaldo is a former U Sports athlete who competed for two years at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). In his first season with the Rams, he helped the team secure 2nd place in the OUA East and reach the OUA quarterfinals in the postseason. Tomas scored his first OUA goal on October 20, 2019, in a decisive 5-0 victory against Nipissing, showcasing his offensive capabilities and contributing to the team's success.
In his second season, Tomas continued to develop as a player, helping the Rams finish 1st in OUA Central and advance to the OUA semifinals.
Tomas’s soccer journey began with Franco Foot Toronto, where his talent quickly shone through as he competed in various leagues and tournaments. He achieved notable success, winning the 2014 Ontario Outdoor Cup and finishing as a finalist in the 2017 Ontario Indoor Cup.
In addition to his domestic achievements, Castaldo gained invaluable international experience by playing exhibition games in Italy. Competing against youth squads from professional clubs like Lazio, Frosinone, and Latina provided him with a unique perspective on the game and allowed him to refine his skills against high-level competition.
