Kat Pappas
Lead Coach/Trainer
Kat Pappas is a distinguished former U Sports athlete who dedicated five years to Ontario Tech University, competing from 2019 to 2024. During her collegiate career, Kat appeared in 21 games and made significant contributions both on and off the field.
In the 2023-2024 season, she was honored with the Ridgebacks Women's Soccer Leadership Award and the Sase Naraaya Unsung Hero Award, recognizing her outstanding leadership and impact within the community. Kat also earned the OUA East Community Service Award, becoming only the second student-athlete in women's soccer history at Ontario Tech to achieve this honor. Her commitment to community service was further acknowledged in the 2022-2023 season when she received the Dr. Gary Polonsky Leadership Award and the Nustadia Recreation Award at the Ridgebacks awards gala. Additionally, in the 2021-2022 academic year, she was a recipient of the Ontario Tech All-Academic Award.
After her time at Ontario Tech, Kat continued to excel in soccer, currently playing for GS United in the Ontario Women’s Soccer League (OWSL). With her team, she celebrated victory in the 2024 Ontario Cup and competed in the 2024 National Championships.
Kat has also seamlessly transitioned into coaching, serving as an Assistant Goalkeeper Coach with Whitby FC, as well as an Assistant Coach for the 2014 Girls LTPD and the 2012 Girls OPDL teams.
